OUR PURPOSE:
Know Jesus-
This is talking about salvation. In John 17:3 the Bible says, “Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
Most people think of eternal life as the time that comes after we leave this world when we will live with Jesus forever and ever. That is only partly true. The truth is that we have eternal life here and now and we can experience eternity here and now through our relationship with Jesus. If you think you are saved and have not touched eternity, maybe you need to reexamine your salvation!
Knowing Jesus is salvation!
Live Jesus –
This is talking about your testimony. The way you live out your walk with Jesus.
Galatians 2:20 says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in
me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.”
The bible teaches us that when we gave our lives to Jesus, the old us died and Jesus moved
into our lives. With the Holy Spirit’s help, he lives out his life through us. When people look at
you, they should see Jesus. Your life should be a direct reflection of Jesus who lives inside
you!!
Living Jesus out is your testimony.
Share Jesus -
Sharing Jesus is our lifestyle! In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus gave his followers
what we call the great commission. It says this, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you
always, to the very end of the age.”
In the original Greek, the translation reads, “As you are going disciple the nations...” This is
not as much a missionary sending, as it is an everyday life going. In other words, as you are
going to the store, disciple the nations. As you are getting gas, disciple the nations. As you
go to Dunkin Donuts, disciple the nations! We are to share Jesus everywhere and let people
see him in our lives.
OUR PRACTICE:
Other-Centered-
Victory people are more concerned about the needs of other people
than about having their own needs met.
Outward-Focused-
Victory people are as concerned with building the kingdom of God
outside the walls of our church as we are about what God is doing within.
Victory people are concerned with personal growth, not just spiritually,
but in every area of our lives.
Growth-Oriented -
Servant-Led -
Victory leaders recognize that leadership is influence and that the best way
to build influence in someone's life is through servanthood. No leader is too important to
work hard for the kingdom.
